Group Description
Beginning January 27th, join us for a 7-week Couples Onsite Group during the Connecting the Unconnected all-church study! Each group will include 4–5 couples in a similar stage of life, gathering together in the West or Kidside Auditorium. We’ll kick things off each week with a short teaching video that unpacks the big ideas of the session, then your group will dive into the Bible and discussion using the Connecting the Unconnected study guide.
Study guides are $5 (pick one up in the lobby during weekend services or at the main office), or grab a free digital copy at mynorthside.com/ctu.
KidCare is available for children 5th grade and under at $10 per child per week, with a max of $20 per family. You can learn more about KidCare at mynorthside.com/groups.
After you sign up, we’ll send you a quick form to help us place you in a group and get KidCare squared away if you need it.

Hi, my name is Aaron Eldridge. I grew up in southern Indiana before moving away for college. After graduation, I spent the next few years moving all over the country for work before getting an opportunity to settle back down in Jeffersonville and here at Northside. While I learned a lot from the moves, one of the lessons that has stuck with me the most is the value of deep community with other men who are walking through similar life seasons.
While the transition from young adulthood into just adulthood can be a challenging time, it can also be one of the most impactful and rewarding times in a man's life. This group is for unmarried men between the ages of 25-35 (plus or minus a few years) to grow deeper in authentic community with one another, deepen their faith with God, and encourage each other as we grow in our life, careers, and communities. Whether you are brand new to the faith or a seasoned Christian, this group welcomes you in with open arms and is here to help you take your next steps in growing closer to God and finding great men to walk alongside with.
We meet weekly on Tuesdays at my house in Jeffersonville, just a few minutes off of 265.

Hi, my name is Albert Nordhoff and I lead a Men's Life Group on Thursday evenings. I have been a Christian for over 25 years and my wife, Teresa, and I have been members of NCC since 2015. My wife and I have been married for 33 years and have 2 adult children. Our son and daughter both currently live in Georgia. Our daughter and son-in-law just had their first child last year so we are now proud grandparents as well.
I have been attending men's groups for about 5 years but have just recently had a change in my job that allowed me the time to step in as a leader. The group that I lead is made up of men of different ages and backgrounds, some are newer in their faith and others have been Christians for years. Regardless, we are all still learning and growing in our faith together. We enjoy sharing experiences and laughter as we help each other to become the men that God has called us to be.

Our Life Group has been meeting for a couple years. We are all hungry to learn more about Jesus' character, His plan for our lives, and ways to serve Him. Hi, my name is Marty and this is a walking interest-based life group. My hope for this group is to build and strengthen a community of individuals through consistency in exercise, companionship, helping others, and spiritual growth. I ask God for the opportunity for us to have God’s grace, hope, love, and faith pour forth from us daily to those around us.
I have attended services regularly at Northside for over 10 years. I am a sports and recreation enthusiast but have become a little more sedentary in recent years. I am a single dad with a middle school aged daughter.
During spring, summer, and fall, our normal weekly walks are scheduled for Tuesday evenings at 6:30 at the Kevin Hammersmith Memorial Park (the park directly behind Northside). Winter walks are TBD. Generally, our walks are between 45 and 70 minutes. Along the way, we will discuss the weekly sermons and life in general, and include prayer.
I have a group set up on the GroupMe app to plan our walks and to communicate with the walking group. There is potential for group members to plan additional walks throughout the week with each other, and for us to plan some weekend walks or hikes throughout the year.
This group is open to those in all seasons of life (couples, singles, women, men, young and old, etc). Please make sure you are healthy for this type of exercise and take the necessary precautions for your well-being.

It is great going to church on Sunday, but I miss connecting with a small group. Obviously, travel makes it very difficult to attend a "traditional" small group. My name is Billy Townsend and I am married with three children and one grandson. I have been attending Northside Christian Church since 2013. I am a graduate of the Reboot Combat Recovery course offered at Northside. I am presently employed with the State of Indiana working at the Work One office in New Albany, as the Disabled Veteran Outreach Program (DVOP) specialist. This new group we are starting is for Active Duty service members, Veterans, and their direct family members (Spouses and Parents). I am excited about this group and really feel that God is leading me and Northside in the direction of bringing veterans together so we can walk with each other through life as we understand the trials and obstacles veterans face daily. Veterans speak a distinct language that only veterans can understand. Veterans can also support and serve our community as a whole to bring that camaraderie that a lot of us miss from our time serving our country.

My name is Tim Ferree. My wife and I have attended Northside for over 30 years. We raised 3 children at Northside who are now all on their own. Pam teaches 3rd grade at Christian Academy of Indiana. I recently quit teaching after 34 years and am now an International Trainer with the mission organization Discipleship Global. We train how to start Disciple Making Movements using simple, reproducible, biblically-based discipleship tools, most of which were put together by Curtis Sargeant. Millions have come to Christ through the application of these tools.
If you want to grow as a disciple, this group is for you! We use a Discovery Bible Study method 3 times a month to learn what the Bible teaches and encourage one another to obey its teachings. Every 4th week we learn basic lessons such as how to share the gospel in 3 minutes, how to share your testimony in 3 minutes, how to pray for an hour, how to read the Bible, how to have an accountability partner etc.. These tools are taught in a "hands on" fashion, so come ready to learn and participate.
